About Our Summer Camps

Schedule Format

AoPS Academy offers multiple summer camp formats:
  • Two weeks: 5 days a week, 3 hours per class
  • Two weeks: 5 days a week, 1.5 hours per class
  • Four weeks: 5 days a week, 1.5 hours per class
Expert instructors teach 10–16 motivated students through a live, video-based classroom. Small camp sizes allow instructors to get to know their students and provide real-time, individualized feedback during class time.

Curriculum

Since 1993, AoPS has successfully prepared students for college and career success through best-in-class problem solving curriculum.

Summer camps are designed with special interactive activities and real-life problem scenarios to help students bolster critical problem solving skills and prepare for new challenges for the following year.

Requirements

Classes are held through video conferences in an online classroom. Students will need:
  • Access to a desktop or laptop with a camera and microphone
  • A calm, quiet location to work

Placement Tests

For our math courses, we recommend that parents use our math placement tests to choose the right level of challenge for their student. Take a placement test here.

For our language arts courses, we recommend that parents enroll students at their current grade level to connect with peers of the same social maturity.

Why Students & Parents AoPS Academy
